31-year-old ATM firm driver electrocuted
A 31-year-old driver of an ATM logistics firm was electrocuted when he came in contact with a live cable that was sunk in the stagnated water at Kodungaiyur on Thursday night.

The deceased, R Jayaraj (31), a resident of MGR Nagar, was working as a driver of a private firm that transports and deposits cash in the ATM machines of selected nationalised banks. He is survived by his wife and four-year-old son.
Police said that the incident took place near the MKB Nagar bridge. The victim, along with two other friends, visited a hotel to have dinner. When he tried to jump over stagnated water, he came in contact with a live wire and was electrocuted. His friends rushed him to the Royapettah Government Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. After an autopsy, the body was handed over to his family, police said.
