The guide came out even before the textbook was released in May. A case was registered based on a complaint from the School Education Department.

It is believed that somebody from the department could have leaked the syllabus details to the publishing houses, which then came out with a guide for the textbook even before it was released officially.

Police noted that the guide was published and reached stores almost a week before the textbook was officially distributed to schools. It appears to be the handiwork of an insider who leaked the details to publishing house, helping them prepare the guide and market it, sources added.
