Themed ‘Sexual Health: For Quality Life’, the three-day conference focused on the diverse practices of Sexology and Sexual Medicine. Stressing on the challenges faced by diabetics during ejaculation, Praveen Tripathy, one of the speakers, said, “While sexual problems are common as people age, diabetes makes it much worse. An individual or his partner may have trouble having or enjoying sex. It is therefore important to keep a check on one’s blood glucose levels.”
The conference also involved academic discussions, including ‘TheHidden Chemistry of Kissing’, ‘Why We Have Sex’ and Oncosexology, amongst others. Sociological discussions and debates on crucial topics like marital rape, child sex abuse, transgender health, potency certification, and the myth of immorality are also a part of the three-day conference which is to end on Sunday.
The cultural aspects of the programme include a musical play on Romance, a dance choreography on sexuality and a stage enactment on domestic violence against husbands.
