TN Muslims pray for Kerala flood victims on Bakrid
The Muslim community in Tamil Nadu offered prayers for the well-being of those affected due to the floods that hit Kerala on the occasion of Bakrid.

State general secretary of Indian Union Muslim League Tamil Nadu, Abubucker, said donations were collected from several districts of Tamil Nadu and prayers were held for the flood victims.
Mosques in Chennai, especially at Pulianthope, Royapettah, Triplicane and Thousand lights, saw a large number of people offering prayers and donations.
The Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam organised Bakrid celebrations and collected funds from there, a leader said. Haj committee leader Aboobacker said, “It is a day to celebrate the importance of sacrifice and tolerance. Muslims must take this day as an opportunity to visit their brothers and sisters belonging to other religions and share food and ensure that people live in harmony, he added. Special prayers were held at Kerala mosques, too, for those who lost lives and those who continue to suffer.
