Minor on joyride with friends crashes car into shop, dies
A 15-year-old boy, who took five of his friends in his car for a joyride, lost control over the speeding vehicle and rammed into a shop selling construction material. As the car nose-dived into the bushes, he died on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Tamilselvan, a Class 10 student of Sahaya Madha Higher Secondary School at Bharathi Nagar in Ennore. He, along with five of his friends - Johnson, Akash, Swarnaraj, Praveen and another student, went on a ride at Sivakami Nagar around 2 pm.
The car hit a wall of bricks inside the shop and dived into nearby bushes. The front portion of the car was completely mangled and Tamilselvan died on the spot with grievous head injuries.
His body was sent to Stanley government hospital for post-mortem. Three of his friends escaped from the spot and two were detained by the police. They are said to have escaped with minimal injuries.
Police said since the area was not crowded, a major accident was averted. Madhavaram traffic investigation police have registered a case and are interrogating Tamilselvan’s father Saravanan.
It may be noted that driving by minors is strictly prohibited failing which, parents would be arrested if the vehicle meets with an accident.
