“People see Rahul’s statements as mere allegations without facts. His allegations show the amount of frustration he and Congress directed against Modi. They somehow want to get rid of the Prime Minister and hence trying to stich alliance with parties. In a desperate attempt to defeat Modi they are even ready to sacrifice the PM post,” said Tamilisai, after returning from Tirunelveli where she attended the memorial meeting of late DMK leader Karunanidhi.
Replying to a question on Rahul’s allegation on unemployment and terrorism, Tamilisai said unemployment levels was exceedingly high during the Congress governments which had ruled India for more than 50 years since Independence.
“But now under Narendra Modi, several crores of people have got jobs and they have benefitted from the Central government schemes,” she said.
Tamilisai also said that a healthy political atmosphere has returned to the State where leaders of all major parties attend memorial meetings organised by even the opposition parties.
