Over the last few days, the Commission has put Apollo Hospitals under the scanner. The Commission has criticised doctors of the hospital who did not appear on the date of their summons.

It has also asked that the hospital furnish CCTV footage from the time of hospitalisation of the late chief minister. The hospital had stated that the CCTV cameras were on when Jayalalithaa was admitted but were turned off on certain occasions as demanded by a senior government official. The cameras were said to have been turned off when Jayalalithaa was moved between wards.

The Commission has asked the hospital to submit footage available along with the name of the official who requested that the cameras be turned off. The hospital has responded that it is unsure whether the footage from 2016 has been preserved.

Meanwhile, the Commission is said to be mulling on sending summons to Panneerselvam. The demand has been repeatedly made by the Sasikala camp through her counsel.
