18 senior officers transferred in latest police reshuffle

In the latest rejig in the police department, nine IPS officers were transferred to various wings, while an equal number of officers in the rank of additional superintendents was promoted as SPs, on Saturday.

Inspector General MT Ganeshmoorthy, who was Additional Commissioner for CCB has been transferred and posted as IG (General) in DGP office in the existing vacancy, while DIG V Balakrishnan, who was on compulsory wait, was posted as the Joint Commissioner of Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Greater Chennai.

PK Senthil Kumar, DIG (Administration, Chief Office, Chennai), has been transferred and posted as DIG (Railways, Chennai) in the existing vacancy. S Radhakrishnan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of CCB-II, has been promoted as Superintendent of Police and posted in Prohibition Enforcement Wing in Chennai.  

Superintendent P Vijayakumar, who was on compulsory wait, has been posted in Economic Offences Wing-II, Chennai, replacing Superintendent RV Ramya Bharati. G Ramar, who was Superintendent for Security Branch-I CB-CID has been transferred and posted as Superintendent for Intellectual Property Right Enforcement Cell, Chennai, replacing S Deepa Ganiger, who has been posted as Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) for West Chennai.

V Vikraman, Superintendent of Tiruvarur district, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Office Automation and Computerisation at DGP office in Chennai, a newly created post.

S Lakshmi, who was Deputy Commissioner (Law and Order) for Coimbatore, has been transferred to Chennai and posted as Superintendent of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (Western Range) in the existing vacancy. Meanwhile, K Shanmugam, Additional Superintendent, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Headquarters in Chennai, has been promoted as Superintendent and posted in the southern range of the same wing in the existing vacancy. Additional Superintendents, K Meena, K Stalin and C Raja, have also been promoted as Superintendents.
