An exclusive web page will be developed for TNPSC so that students who want to apply for various exams can upload their certificates there.
An TNPSC app, which will be compatible in computers, tabs, iPads and mobiles, will be launched to verify the certificates and other claims made by the candidates in their applications. It would later be accessed by TNPSC administrators.
A senior official from TNPSC told DT Next on Monday that the government recruiting agency would hire an IT company after inviting tenders. The company will need to provide at least one software developer in the office of TNPSC till the project is completed.
“The selection process will be over by November and the project is expected to be completed within six months from the date of the order,” the official said.
He added that the commission is also working on an examination app which will have sample questions of various subjects for students to test themselves. In addition to that, news of upcoming exams and records of old exams will also be made available on cloud so that students can access it from anywhere.
At present, TNPSC’s website can only handle online applications, allow hall tickets to be downloaded, one-time registration and help track students’ application status.
