3 bodies found, 1 identified

The body of a 30-year-old man was found floating in Buckingham Canal in Mylapore on Tuesday and on information, police retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. After an investigation, the police identified him as Mannan from Meenambalpuram who was working with a private cable TV service firm. He was missing since Monday, said police. As there were injuries on his body, a case of suspicious death was registered and further investigation is on.

Similarly, an unidentified person was found hanging from a tree at Sharma Nagar in Vyarsarpadi on Tuesday. The MKB Nagar police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy. Further investigation is on to ascertain his identity. Another unidentified body was found in Perambur. The Thiru Vi Ka Nagar police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
