A division bench comprising Justice Vineet Kothari and Justice Anita Sumant before whom the plea moved by activist Traffic Ramaswamy came up for hearing, summoned the Commissioner after the counsel appearing for the Corporation submitted that action against the concerned officials is still pending.

Earlier, the counsel appearing for Ramasamy contended that though the building was sealed immediately after the accident, the seal has now been removed and certain families have occupied various portions of the house.

The PIL had been moved seeking higher compensation for the victims and that the amount should be recovered from the owner of the sealed building and officials who knew that the building was an illegal construction.
