According to the police, Padma was admitted to the convicts’ ward at the hospital on Thursday evening. Police said that Padma has been taking medication for chest pain for a while. She was admitted to the hospital two days ago and was discharged on Thursday morning. By evening, she experienced pain and fell unconscious and was rushed back to hospital, the police said.
However, highly places sources said that Padma has been throwing tantrums in jail about her health condition. The police suspect that this might be a conspiracy as she refused to be treated at the hospital facility inside Puzhal premises.
Padma was part of the Maoists’s women’s empowerment wing. Andhra Pradesh police arrested her in 2017 at Erode while she was travelling in a train from Kerala to Hyderabad. After she came out on bail, she went absconding. She surrendered before a special court in Poonamallee on December 6. She is a native of Gaddi Annaram in Hyderabad. Her husband Vivek too is a Maoist and is out on parole.
