The injured were Vetrivel (26) and Munivel (29) from Adambakkam, and Solomon (18), a class-12 student from Somangalam. Early on Monday morning, Yuvraj, Vetrivel and Solomon were riding on a two-wheeler via Maduravayol bypass road towards Tambaram.
The rider lost balance while overtaking a car and fell down. Yuvaraj died on the spot, police said. The injured duo was shifted to the Government Hospital in Chennai. In the second accident, Ranjith, a leather factory employee, was going on a two-wheeler along with his relative on Sunday. While they were speeding on the Somangalam main road, Ranjith drank water from a bottle and tried to throw the bottle away.
