Politicos, CoP visit Abhi’s family home
Soon after news broke about the missing Wing Commander, several politicians, naval officers and even the City Police Commissioner visited the family of the downed fighter pilot at Jal Vayu Vihar to express their support and solidarity at a difficult time.

The first one to arrive at the colony was the Sriperumbudur constituency MP (AIADMK), NR Ramachandran who reached in the evening. After meeting family members, he said, “The parents remain strong. They are proud of their son and happy that their son went to the battle for the sake of the country. Further, the Union government will take all the necessary steps to bring him back to the country.”
The State BJP president, Tamilisai Soundararajan, reached the venue later. After spending a few minutes with the family, she had left the place without addressing the media. Around 9 pm, the city police commissioner AK Viswanathan met the family members at their residence. He also refused to address the media upon meeting the family.
A constant stream of visitors thronged Jal Vayu Vihar to catch a glimpse of the family members of the Wing Commander. However, the police posted at the gate had restricted the entry of outsiders and allowed only the residents to enter the colony. The policemen informed that the gates will also remain shut on Thursday for the security reasons.
