Special trains to clear extra rush

Train no 82631 will leave Chennai Central at 8.10 pm on April 5, 12, 19 and 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 to reach Ernakulam at 8.45 am the next day. Train no 82635 will leave Chennai Central at 7 pm on April 18 and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 11.45 am the next day.

Train no 82605 will leave Chennai Egmore at 6.50 pm on May 6 and reach Tuticorin at 7.10 am the next day. Train no 82603 will leave Chennai Egmore at 6.50 pm on April 5, 12 and 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31to reach Tirunelveli at 6 am the next day.Train no 82604 will leave Tirunelveli at 6.15 pm on April 7, 14, 21 and 28, May 5, 12, 16, 19 and 26 and June 2 to reach Chennai Egmore at 5.35 am the next day. Train no 82604 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Special fare special train will stop at Mambalam also.

Train no 82634 will leave Ernakulam Jn at 7 am on April 7, 14, 21 and 28 and May 5, 12, 19 and May 26 to reach Chennai Central at 7.20 am the next day. Train no 82633 will leave Tiruchchirappalli at 2.20 pm on April 13 and reach Ernakulam Jn at 8.45 am the next day. Train no 82616 will leave Puducherry at 6.45 am on April 6 and 13 and reach Santragachi at 4.30 am on Mondays. Advance reservation for the trains are open, a release issued by SR said.

Railway board has also approved a new tri-weekly train from Tambaram to Nagercoil. The inaugural train (no 22657/22658) will be flagged off at 3 pm from Nagercoil on Friday by union minister Pon Radhakrishnan. It will reach Tambaram at 5 am the next day.

Regular service of the train will commence from March 11. Train no 22657 will leave Tambaram on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7.20 pm and reach Nagercoil at 7.55 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

In the return direction, 22658 will start from Nagercoil on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5 am and reach Tambaram at 5.05 am on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
