DMK MLA booked for verbally abusing cop
The Vishnu Kanchi police booked a DMK MLA on Monday for using abusing language while quarrelling with a police inspector. They have registered three cases against Ezhil Arasan.

DMK had obtained permission to campaign at Theradi on Sunday, to be attended by Udhayanidhi Stalin. Meanwhile, deputy CM O Paneerselvam also got a permission for campaigning at Kancheepuram bus stop at the same time.
According to the police, O Panneerselvam had planned to attend a Pooja at the Theradi temple before his campaign. When he arrived with his supporters at the Theradi, the DMK members, who were waiting for the arrival of Udhayanidhi Stalin, got upset and began to quarrel. Vishnu Kanchi police inspector Suresh Sanmugam tried to convince them saying that OPS and team would vacate the place in 10 minutes but the DMK MLA threatened the inspector using abusive words.
