Gold hidden under flight seat seized

50 pm on Thursday, the staff went in to clean it. Under one of the seats, they found two black colour packages. It had two gold bars, weighed about 2 kg, estimated to be worth Rs 66 lakh, which were handed over to the Customs, who are browsing CCTV footages to identify who placed the gold under the seat.
In the second case, officials stopped Mumtaz (39) and Shaista Khanum (45) from Delhi, who landed here on Friday from Bangkok. During personal check, they were found hiding cylindrical gold pieces inside their rectum. The gold weighed about 1.4 kg, worth Rs 46 lakh.
