The police said that Syed Moosa was abducted and assaulted by a leather supplier, Akram Khan, over the payment of Rs15 lakh.

Moosa, in his complaint, said that he had paid the money to an agent named Sirajuddin, who failed to pay the money to Khan. Sirajuddin reportedly told Khan that Syed Moosa has not paid the amount.

Believing this, Khan and his brother Younus Khan along with a couple of others abducted Moosa and assaulted him. After he was released, he lodged a complaint with the Periyamet police station.

Based on the complaint, the police arrested Sirajuddin and three others. Investigators are now searching for the Khan brothers.
