Burglars leave stolen bike, escape with booty
The victim, Senthil, works in a restaurant in night shift and had left his wife at a relative’s house in Perambur. Based on his complaint, Nungambakkam police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the suspects.

The building has two houses on the ground floor and one each on the second and third floors. The first floor of the building where the building owner Iqbal, currently settled in Dubai, used to stay has also been broken open. But as no valuables were kept in house, police said.
During investigation, police found out that the two-wheeler the burglars abandoned was stolen from Ernavur a week ago. A complaint had been registered in this regard. It was handed over to the owner on Sunday.
In two other burglaries, 30 sovereigns and 9 sovereigns were burgled from houses in Valasaravakkam and MGR Nagar. A couple, Regan and Velankanni of Alwarthirunagar, who work in private companies, left for work as usual on Saturday. When they returned home in the evening, the couple found the house broken open and 30 sovereigns burgled. Similarly, Syed Sulaiman of MGR Nagar went to a wedding with his family and returned in the evening, only to find his house burgled. Police are investigating.
