Rider argues with police over helmet rule, video goes viral
The Aminjikarai police are on the lookout for a man, who argued with the traffic police, while he was intercepted for not wearing helmet on Poonamallee High Road on Tuesday evening. The video clip of the incident has gone viral on social media.

The incident happened around 6.15 pm when Aminjikarai traffic inspector Kumar intercepted a two-wheeler near Anna Arch as both the rider and thepillion were not wearing helmets.
The police personnel politely asked him to bring the vehicle to the side of the road, but he refused to move from the spot. However, the police managed to ensure the flow of traffic after the traffic signal there turned green.
The video, running two minutes and 32 seconds, showed the man arguing with police asking why should he wear a helmet and dared the police take action against him.
While the pillion rider, a woman vanished in the crowd, the rider continued arguing with the police for more thanfive minutes.
Later, he left the two-wheeler at the spot and vanished from the spot in an autorickshaw. Police checked the vehicle documents and found out that it was registered in another person’s name.
Based on a complaint by inspector Kumar, the Aminjikarai police have registered a case and have launched a hunt for him.
