Technical glitches hit inter-corridor Metro operations thrice in 3 days
For the third day in a row, Chennai Metro operations have been hit owing to technical glitches. On Monday afternoon, the train services in inter-corridor section from Central Metro to Airport suspended at 3.45 because of some technical glitches.

“Inter corridor train services between Airport Metro to Central Metro and Central Metro to Airport Metro are suspended due to technical glitches from 3.45 pm on Monday. Passengers are requested to change over at Alandur Metro for corridor 2,” CMRL tweeted. It also expressed regret for the inconvenience to commuters.
With the cancellation of the inter corridor services, the passengers who boarded the train from Central to Airport via Koyambedu were forced to change over at Alandur interchange station for the Airport train in the Washermenpet-Airport corridor.
The inter-corridor Metro train services between Airport Metro and Central Metro was rectified and normal Metro train services have resumed from 5 pm on Monday. “All Metro Train services are operating as per normal weekday timetable,” anofficial said.
On Sunday morning, Chennai Metro services were disrupted for about half an hour owing to a technical glitch between Chennai Central and Washermenpet. At 8.15 am, one of the trains stopped at the Chennai Central Metro station owing to a technical glitch and for about half an hour, three trains to Washermenpet ran late by about 20 minutes. The problem was resolved and train services ran as per schedule after 8.45 am.
On July 20, a train from the airport stopped at Central station after it faced some technical problem around 6.15 am. The passengers were shifted to another train towards Washermenpet.
