Glimpse of Superstar costs fan Rs 40,000

A Rajinikanth fan, who went to Kalaivanar Arangam on Wednesday to get a glimpse of the superstar, lost Rs 40,000 in the crowd and has lodged a complaint at Triplicane police station.

The victim, Balaganapathy, is from Villivakkam who runs a private manpower agency. A die-hard of Rajinikanth, Balaganapathy was on his way to office on Wednesday with Rs 40,000 to give salary to his employees, when his friend called and to inform him that Rajinikanth was coming to Kalaivanar Arangam to participate in a function organised by director P Bharathiraja to felicitate veteran screenwriter Kalaignanam.


Balaganapathy immediately changed his plans and joined his friend to go to Kalaivanar Arangam to get a glimpse of his favourite actor from close quarters. He managed to click photos of Rajinikanth in his phone in the crowd. Later, he realised that Rs 40,000 he had with him was missing.


He rushed to Triplicane police station and lodged a complaint about the missing cash. Police received his complaint and have initiatedan inquiry.
