Patient’s kin attack cop at KMC

S Shruthika (5) of Shenoy Nagar in TP Chathram was admitted at the emergency ward of KMCH with injuries after she fell from the first floor of a building on Monday.

A group of men and women, who are said to be her relatives, gathered outside the ward to see her. Seeing them, the duty doctor asked constable Sheeba to clear the crowd.

When Sheeba asked the family members to leave, they became agitated and started attacking her.

Sheeba escaped from them with injuries and was admitted to the hospital. Based on her complaint, the Kilpauk police have registered a case and picked up three persons, including a woman, for inquiry. Further investigation is on.
