Mobile phone robber arrested
The Otteri police arrested a mobile phone robber during a vehicle check and launched a hunt for his accomplice, who escaped from the spot. The arrested person has been identified as Kottishwaran of Otteri.

Along with his friend Azhagesan, he snatched two mobile phones from Ramkumar and Santhosh of the same locality while they were travelling on a bike on Wednesday. The victims were intercepted by the duo and robbed at knifepoint. Based on a complaint by Ramkumar, the police registered a case and went through the CCTV footage. Then, the police intercepted a duo riding a two-wheeler on suspicion on Thursday. As they tried to flee, the police managed to secure one.
