Gangster Binu Pappachan arrested again at Triplicane

Binu, who had been arrested by the Mangadu police in Kolathur two months back in connection with extortion charges, was absconding ever since he was let off in a bail. However, based on a tipoff, the police secured Binu from the house of his sister-in-law. The once-active gangster became popular after he celebrated his birthday in the presence of about 100 other history-sheeters by cutting cake with a machete.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old history-sheeter was attacked by a gang in Tiruvottiyur on Tuesday night. While Dinesh, the history-sheeter was consuming liquor at a playground in Anna Sivakami Nagar, he was attacked by an armed gang. Soon he was rescued by neighbours and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Based on his complaint, Tiruvottiyur police have registered a case and are searching for the gang members.
