4 including juvenile snatcher caught during vehicle check

The arrested were identified as M Vallarasu (19), V Anandraj (24), S Ajith (20) and a 17-year-old boy. The Somangalam police were on a vehicle check at the Somangalam-Darkas Road on Wednesday night. On seeing the police, four youngsters on two bikes raced past without stopping. But the police team chased and caught them, and found that all of them had consumed alcohol. During inquiry, they found that both the bikes were stolen and also recovered four mobile phones from them. Police said all of them were involved in mobile phone snatching in the locality. Vallarasu has 16 robbery and housebreak cases pending against him. All the four were arrested; three of them were sent to Puzhal central prison while the teenager was sent to a government home.
