He is said to have lost the gadget while traveling back to the hotel where he was staying. According to a complaint filed by Subrath (38), son of an IPS officer, who has been working in a managerial position at an MNC, he found his gadget missing after he returned from a visit on Thursday. Subrath had been staying at a hotel on Anna Salai since Wednesday.
Subrath found his iPad missing after he reached the hotel and immediately called up the driver of the call taxi. After checking the car, the driver reportedly told him that the gadget was not there in the car.
Following this he had lodged a complaint with the Anna Salai police. Police had summoned the car driver and carried out preliminary probe. “He is claiming that he has not seen the iPad,” police said and added that they are widening the probe angle to know if somebody has stolen the gadget or the complainant had misplaced it.
