House of Theatrics, a new outfit for amateur theatre artistes

Adding to the list is the new theatre outfit called House of Theatrics launched by Thomas Davis. “Chennaiites love watching a good, entertaining play during the weekends. And we do have a good bunch of theatre production companies in the city. We started House of Theatrics to provide one more avenue for theatre enthusiasts. The company will not just focus on producing plays, but we all will be hosting live sessions with experts in the field, hold workshops and have competitions to encourage more young artists to get on board and have yet another space to express themselves,” says Thomas.

During the lockdown, many have penned stories hoping to give life to those characters. “We are looking for engaging scripts that we could transform into plays in the future.” House of Theatrics is part of Thomas’ start-up called House of T that promotes performance art among amateur artists. “We started House of T in 2018 and over the past two years, we have successfully hosted several shows in music, comedy, etc. Our team includes Anushka Subramanian, who handles the social media and creative designer Mrithika Munukoti,” he adds.
