Virtual gifting has become more quirky with this app

Personalised gifting options have become a huge risk with social distancing and hygiene protocols. To make this gifting concept innovative, city-based surprise planning company the6.in has come up with digital gifting options like a singer/guitarist on call, virtual caricatures, and so on.

“Before the lockdown period, our team was busy planning surprise parties across the city. But once the lockdown was announced, we had to step back. Since everything has moved online, we thought of launching digital gifting options,” says Sakthivel Pannerselvam, founder of the6.in.

Keeping in mind social distancing a priority, he says that customised digital gifting options will be the future. “We have two musical surprises -- Quickie and A capella. In the Quickie option, there will be a guitarist and a singer. In A capella, three singers will join a guitarist. They will be singing or playing songs of your choice that you wanted to gift the person. Musical surprises are either done on WhatsApp or Zoom. In the past two months, we have done 7 musical surprises. Apart from that, we have digital caricatures where the client can choose from different digital posters,” he shares.

With gifting options becoming innovative day-by-day, Chennaiites can expect more such digital gifting ideas in the coming weeks. “This trend will catch up fast among youngsters. At the end of the day, we all wanted our loved ones to experience that special dose of happiness,” Sakthi says.
