Panchayat president hacked to death by trio near Avadi

The deceased, Paramaguru, was the Panchayat Board president for Kosavampalayam village and also a DMK functionary. When he went to inspect the underground drainage work near Ponniammanmedu bus stop, three men reached the spot on a bike and attacked him with machetes before fleeing the spot. With severe injuries on his head, Paramaguru died on the spot. 

On information, Tirunindravur police rushed to the spot and secured the body and sent it to Tiruvallur Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case with murder charges has been registered and a hunt has been launched for the suspects. The motive of the murder is also being probed and further investigation is on.
