Nearly 15k active cases in Chennai, recovery rate at 81 percent

According to the Chennai Corporation data, the recovery rate has been increasing for the past month. On June 12, the recovery rate was at 51.46 per cent.

As on Sunday morning, it was at 81 per cent. The city reported a total of 84,598 positive cases, of which 68,193 patients have recovered and were sent home. As many as 14,997 cases are under treatment.

According to data released by the Greater Chennai Corporation, Kodambakkam zone has the most number of corona positive patients seeking treatment and Royapuram zone, which is worst-hit among the 15 zones, has a higher number of recovered persons than other zones. As many as 8,902 persons have recovered, which is an 87 per cent recovery rate.
