There is a want of clarity in government's 'unlock' guidelines.
Since there in no complete lockdown on Sundays people mistake it for permission to caper around the city.
The Greater Chennai Corporation has announced that the Marina beach is closed for the public.
Official also warned of penalties levied on the people if they visit the beach.
Already the Corporation fines Rs 200 for those flouting lockdown measures and Rs 500 for those trangressions.
Now, they have decided to levy 200 rupees for those visiting the beach.
This penalty however wasn't applied yesterday on Sunday as many were misinformed, they were only sent back with a warning. Such occurence in the future won't be spared says the Corporation authorities.
