Tell us about why you chose Introspective Revelations as the broad theme .
Introspective Revelations is the underlying theme of the amalgamation of an eclectic medley of paintings, sculptures, assemblages and art installations by various well known artists from all over the country. This contemporary exhibition is essentially a collection with depth that definitely does not meet the eye, a probe that the viewer has to make to face those revelations that appeal to his inner turmoil.
How did you narrow down upon the 10 artistes?
The exhibition was mainly curated to showcase contemporary works with different mediums and sizes. I was always influenced by these artistes at some point or the other and the chosen artists balance the theme perfectly. Each of their works do not clash with the other and yet complement each other. We have chosen the art works of Devidas Dharmadhikari, Dilip Chobisa, Henk Van Putten, Kumaresan Selvaraj, Madhuri Bhaduri, Mukthinath Mondal, Sachin George Sebastian, Sareena Khemka, Vinita Karim and Yuvan Bothysathuvar.
What should art enthusiasts expect from the show?
Art enthusiasts will experience a variety of works which will reflect different thought processes of the artistes and their immense capabilities.
