Twitter user Kayden Stephenson shared a picture which shows someone’s legs looking all shiny and oily. Around it you can also see some stationery. But something is not quite right with the picture. Kayden wrote with the picture, “Are these legs shiny and oily or are they legs with white paint on them?” Yes, the question that’s left the Internet divided is if the legs are shiny or just have white streaks painted on them. The image that has left twitterati arguing over what’s really correct, has been retweeted more than 21,000 times and liked over 27,000 times.
One user wrote, “How do ppl see shiny legs???,” another said, “Wait how is anyone seeing white paint!!” Another wrote, “How on earth do they look shiny or oily?! I see flat, matte white paint? They’re surrounded by paint.” Instagram user Hunter Culverhouse, who is the original owner of the image later revealed that the illusion was created by accident. “Had some white paint left on my brush and put random lines on my legs, turned out to be a completely confusing picture for everyone on the internet.” The interesting thing about this illusion is once you realise it’s white paint, it’s nearly impossible to see the legs as shiny again.
