Videos of Modi-Trump meet go viral

The duo didn’t disappoint and presented social media with the awkward hug and handholding meme. The Prime Minister, in his trademark move, went in for a bear hug with President, which lasted a tad too long even for Trump. 

Trump was seen avoiding contact with Modi by hovering his hands just above the back of the PM’s suit jacket and looking desperate to move away. Interestingly, Prime Minister Modi also went on to hold the hand of Trump, as if reluctant to let go, immediately after the awkward hug. 

However, the visit also gave social media trolls an unexpected opportunity when a video of Modi arriving at the White House, showed a US guard opening the left door of the car for ‘Mrs Modi’ and left hanging as there was no one on that side. Twitter quickly responded with ‘ Bhabhiji nahi ayi? ’ memes.
