Going Viral: Sidharth-Katrina bring the house down in Kala Chashma

Keeping up with the trend of revising old hits, Kala Chashma is a rendition of Amar Arshi’s 2002 song of the same name. It is upbeat and quirky, with a mix of Michael Jackson’s pop style and the current trend of Punjabi rap. The song has been fashioned as a wedding party number. The video features Sidharth and Katrina grooving to the Punjabi hip-hop number, wearing wedding attire, with, of course, kala chash ma (dark glasses). Supporting actors from the film, including Rajit Kapur and Ram Kapoor, also dance in the video like nobody’s watching. Team Baar Baar Dekho has introduced the cast of the film with this track rather than the usual trailer. Kala Chashma, originally composed by Prem Hardeep, has been recreated by Badshah, written by Amrik Singh and Kumaar and sung by Amar Arshi, Badshah and Neha Kakkar. The song is sure going to be the party number of the year. Baar Baar Dekho is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, and Eros International. The film’s director Nitya Mehra has earlier been an assistant director on films like Ang Lee’s Life of Pi and Mira Nair’s The Reluctant Fundamentalist.
