He also demanded the arrest of those who shouted slogans against the Indian Army on August 13 during a discussion on displaced Kashmiri families in the workshop organised by Amnesty International India. Extending BJP’s support to Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists who are agitating since last 10 days demanding strict action on the NGO, Yeddyurappa met the Governor at Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum appealing to recommend to the Union government to take necessary steps to ban the organisation which had allegedly indulged in ‘anti-national’ activities.

Meanwhile, ABVP activities have decided to continue the agitation till suitable action was taken by the government over the issue.
