"Racist issue similar to US, the person shouted at him and then start hitting," a tweet from one Amit Agnihotri marked to Ms Swaraj had said.
To this External Affairs Minister first responded last night: "I have just spoken to the Indian Ambassador in Poland and asked for a report".
Then after an hour, she wrote again, "There was an incident of beating. Fortunately, he has survived. We are inquiring into all aspects of the incident".
She also retweeted a message from Indian Ambassador in Poland, Ajay Bisaria wherein the envoy said: "Prelim enquiry suggests student attacked in Poznan tram on Wed. Thank God, he survived. Getting details."
