NASA releases breathtaking images of India as seen from space at night

Referred as 'Night Lights', the images of Earth during the night are released every decade. The images of India as seen from space, point the growing human settlement in the country since 2012. 

Apparently, scientists at NASA are trying to update the night lights imagery more frequently than just once in 10 years. This attempt will be useful to forecast weather, keep tab on the effects of war and improve our analysis, data and response to natural disasters

Earth scientist Miguel Roman at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Centre led the research team. The team is developing new algorithms and software that aims to provide high definition images readily available.
