Venkaiah Naidu has risen from grassroots, PM Modi in Rajya Sabha

After being sworn-in as the 13th Vice-President, M. Venkaiah Naidu, took over the proceedings of Rajya Sabha as its Chairman.

During the proceedings after Mr. Naidu took over as Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed him and said “ Naidu has come to hold the high office from his long experience in Parliament.” “Naidu has risen from the grassroots, will lead the Indian polity to greater heights,” Mr. Modi added.
