Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu-chikitsa Vigyan Viswavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan vice-chancellor K M L Pathak said students no longer have to visit the university to get their degrees verified after the system's introduction.

Pathak said the degrees would also be linked to Aadhaar.

"The introduction of the online verification system would foil attempts to forge degrees," he said.

Pathak also said the university's seventh convocation on Tuesday would be attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik.

R S Paroda, a former secretary of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, would be the chief guest.

Pathak said 91 degrees and 10 medals for excellence would be awarded to students during the ceremony, where the dress code would be dhoti, kurta, jacket and safa or pagari.

The dress code is same as last year.
