Five workers killed, seven injured in a blast in factory's boiler
At least five workers were killed and seven injured when the boiler of a sugar factory blasted in Kuchaikot police station area in the district late last night.

Police said here that the boiler of Sasamusa sugar factory blasted killing three workers on the spot.
Two others died during treatment at a local hospital.
The reason behind blast of the boiler could not be ascertained immediately.
Police said the factory owner Mohammed Ali was absconding after the mishap.
Gopalganj SP, SDO and DDC had reached his residence to quiz his family members to get any clue about his whereabout.
Factory workers and local people were demonstrating before the owner's residence. The mob also damaged a few vehicles to vent ire against the incident.
Police said three deceased had been identified as Kanhaiya Prasad Sharma, Kripa Choudhary and Samsuddin Miya, while two other victims were yet to be identified.
The injured workers were admitted to a local hospital.
