No negative shade: Dileep defends image

While Kammara Sambhavam shows him playing a negative role, it ends with him referring to his own criminal case.

Dileep is seen using his on-screen persona to talk about how false cases of rape, molestation and harassment have long been used to mislead people. It’s impossible to miss the reference to the real-life case that Dileep is currently embroiled in, where he has been charged with orchestrating an attack on a female colleague.

When asked if he had any apprehensions in uttering these dialogues as well as playing a negative role, Dileep dismissed the query with a casual shake of his head, saying, “So what if my roles have negative shades? My fans know I have played different kinds of characters. The audience knows me off the screen as well. I really don’t think that playing negative characters will affect my real-life persona.”
