In a statement, Saminathan said that Narayanasamy should not forget that the Congress came to power all these years by obtaining political mileage on sympathy over the death of Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, etc. Coming down heavily on the Congress, particularly Rahul Gandhi, he said, “There is no need for BJP to play politics with Vajpayee’s ashes.”

Stating that the Manmohan Singh in 2004 banned the acceptance of any relief measures from foreign countries during natural calamities, he said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also following the same and thanked the countries, who came forward to provide relief.  “Without knowing facts, Narayansamy is criticising Modi and diverting the people’s attention. Everybody knows the tussle between Narayanasamy and PCC president Namasivayam during the youth Congress’ elections as the loyalists of the two contested for the youth Congress president’s post,” Saminathan said.

He further added that Narayanasmay had no right to talk about BJP or the ashes of Vajpayee.

“Chief Minister is levelling baseless allegations of corruptions in the Rafael air craft deal. The BJP will move the court against Narayanasamy if he continues to do so,” he said.
