PM Modi unveils Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 'Statue of Unity' in Gujarat

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the world's tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the shores of Narmada, Gujarat. The 597 feet tall statue has been named the 'Statue of Unity'.

PM Narendra Modi unveiled the statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel's statue in Gujarat on Wednesday. The statue is helmed to be the tallest statue in the world.  The statue is named Statue of Unity.

The statue stands tall at a height of 597 feet (182 meters). It is twice as tall as the iconic Statue of Liberty which is just 97 meters tall.

The statue would forever remind everyone the yeoman service he rendered in uniting the 550 plus princely states to bring together a united India.

The Prime Minister said that he feels honoured to unveil this statue on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Dharti Putra Sardar Patel.
