BJP Puducherry unit President and MLA (nominated) V Saminathan told the mediapersons that the CPI-M led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala headed by Pinarayi Vijayan is allegedly functioning against the Hindus and their faith.

There is apprehension that whether a faithful could worship Lord Ayyappa at the Sabarimala temple and return safely, he said, adding that women who got faith in the culture and Sabarimala have not dared to visit the shrine so far.

It is a deliberate attempt of the CPI-M government in Kerala to lower the sanctity of the Sabarimala temple, he added. In order to condemn the Kerala government and urging to protect the Sabarimala, the BJP will organise a 12-hour bandh on Monday, said Saminathan. He also called upon the Ayyappa devotees, traders, transport workers and public to give utmost cooperation to the bandh.
