Altogether, 262 male and 265 female voters cast their votes in the re-poll which passed off peacefully.

This is 70 votes lesser than the votes polled in the April 18 elections, when 597 voters exercised their franchise.

The re-polling was necessitated as the presiding officer failed to remove the votes of the mock poll held on April 18 from the VVPAT and continued with the polling process, though he claimed to have deleted the votes from the machine. Booth agents protested this and the polling was then held up. It resumed after replacing the machines. Following complaints, the Election Commission of India had directed re-poll.
