Understand the master within you

Every one of us wants to make a difference; to our own lives and to the lives of those around us. And we acquire knowledge and power with the hope that it will help us to that end. But knowledge is only collected to discriminate and compare.

Understand the master within you

Chennai

In reality, to make a difference to oneself and others one need not be brilliant, powerful or beautiful. Nothing; all that is needed is to know that “You are not different from the source that created the universe.” This is called Advaita or non-duality in present-day spiritual language. But non-duality is only a word for a meaning closest to Advaita. But the true essence of Advaita isn’t non-duality, but realising the absence of duality in existential reality.

People live in two types of reality, absolute reality and relative reality. It is humans alone who can live in relative reality without realising absolute reality and this we mistake for our creativity. The Vedas call this illusion or the presence of ego. As humans, it is not possible to understand illusion, but it is possible that we live in illusion.

How does one live in absolute reality then? By creating a condition where illusion is no more a possibility. And how does one do that? By finding a spiritual master. One who can guide you to raise yourself above the present and make you come out of relative reality and realise absolute reality.

What is nivarthi

Nivarthi leads one from a life of shrama to a life of ashrama. Ashrama is not a place to do nothing but an abode where there is no suffering. One’s entire life becomes ashrama on finding the right spiritual master.

You will now ask me, “How do I find the right spiritual master?” Please understand, the very effort to find a spiritual master is an illusion. Because the reality of spirituality is that no one can ‘teach’ another spirituality. In this entire universe, the only spiritual master available for you is just you. The master dwelling within you.

When one stops searching outside for a spiritual master with the realisation that you are the only spiritual master for yourself is realising Advaita

Wish you to master the master within yourself to experience life to its fullest. Aham Brahmasmi!!
