Hundreds of devotees took part in the initiating ceremony of Maha Sivaratri Vizha in Eathamozhi Kalahasthi Sivan temple near Ilandhaiyadithattu on Thursday.
The Vizha began after a Ganapathi Homam at morning 5.30 am on Thursday.
Kodi etram was done by 9 am while thiruvilakku pooja will happen in the evening around 5.30 pm. The pooja will happen on behalf of Nettangodu Saradadevi Ashram.
On February 20, Pushpabishegam for Vaayu Lingam will be done at evening 5.30 pm. On 21st, on the actual Maha Sivaratri day, Annadhanam will take place from morning till evening. At evening 4.30 pm, Pradhosham worshipping will take place. Poojas will be happening throughout the Maha Sivaratri night in the temple. Rajageetha's Thiruvasaga Paaraayanam will happen on Vizha days.
