4-quarter play to help India
The current team is better than the one we sent for the 2012 Olympic Games. We have been successful at the Champions Trophy in the run-up to the Olympics.

One of the best things to happen for India is the new four-quarter play. It is definitely advantage India because of this.
I feel if India play consistently, they should be able to reach the semi-finals. Beyond that it requires a great effort.
My worry is about the shooting skills of our forwards. Quite often, we produce chances and then we are found wanting when it comes to the finishing touches. Our forward-line has to put in more effort to complete the process of scoring.
However, I should say that our mid-field and penalty-corner conversion are our strengths.
I think, it is after a long time that our goal-keeping department is also in fine nick. We did not have a good goal-keeper in many Olympics but in Rio, we have a very good keeper in PR Sreejesh. India will certainly benefit from his captaincy and goalkeeping.
The other factor that may help India is the presence of coach Roelan Tomas.
